I’m Zoe, a researcher, writer, artist, and patient advocate, curious about pain, psychology, cannabis, healthcare, creativity, and the strange ways we learn to live inside our own minds and bodies.
I research things. I write about them. I make things out of them. And when something isn’t working, I’m usually interested in figuring out why.
RESEARCH

I’m interested in turning complicated evidence into better questions, clearer ideas, and research that actually matters to the people it’s about.
WRITING
Personal essays on growing up, chronic pain, friendship, identity, and everything that gets more complicated the longer you think about it.
I’m currently writing my first book and publishing essays on my substack,The Rough Draft.
ADVOCACY
Patient-centered advocacy for better conversations about chronic pain, cannabis, and the ways we care for people whose lives don’t fit neatly into a medical chart.
I’m interested in making healthcare more curious, compassionate, and willing to listen.
